It needs to be tomorrow! I want my M3!!!!!!

Kinja'd!!!

I'm suddenly VERY excited.

It didn't take until next week like we originally thought, so I'm super happy about that. I'll be able to drive it to school Monday!

Maybe. If we get temp plates or the police don't care about me not having a plate on there. Which I think if I have the bill of sale in the car to show them we just bought it, it won't be a problem? I dunno, and I'm struggling to find anything on the MO DOR website about the subject.

A car like that w/o plates just screams PULL ME OVER!!! Some issues are a matter of "if the cop is bored, he'll stop you." With that, if any cop sees you, they will probably stop you.

That said, I understand your excitement.

Florida law is 72 Hours before you need to gets on the car. The Bill of Sale will only work for those 72 hours... but they really only want you to drive it home or to the DMV... thats it!

I drove my CRX 80 miles without plates to my house with a leaky exhaust and smoke pouring out the tailpipe. I got stopped on the street I live on. Talk about shit luck.

You should be fine cruising around with just the bill of sale in the car. Having the title locked up in the glovebox isn't a bad idea either in case you get pulled over. Make sure you have insurance on it and you should be fine driving with no plates until you get it registered. I've always done those things and never had problems with my cars.

Well this weekend I'm sure we'll be fixing the speed sensor and shocks, so then Monday I could go get it inspected and then go buy plates. But Saturday and Sunday I will be driving the damn thing!

Friends with any dealers? A dealer plate is like a golden ticket.
